Road to the Nomination - Dems

One thing that I have noticed about this cycle's potential nominees is that they are not the usual incestuous family of Ivy Leaguers. In fact, there are quite a few obscure state schools in the mix, not to mention two NESCAC representatives. The next two 3Q posts will examine this phenomenon with a mock-up of the NCAA Final Four Tournament done in haste on a shitty MS Paint program. Let's start with the Dems! Click on the image below for a more in-depth look at your favorite politicians and their Alma maters!

Feel free to drop your analysis on seedings, etc. in the comments section.

Next up, the GOP!

this bracket is competitive, but the nod goes to nc state, as the only SEC competitor. picture this: john edwards is the julius hodge of the presidential race.

university of delaware? i don't even know what their mascot is. that's how poor biden's chances are.

also, why is richardson only a six seed? i would think he should be a four, admittedly quite a bit behind the big three. dodd and biden are going to have to split too much of the party with clinton. richardson at least has something interesting going on (i.e., he's a latino and from the west).

oh, i meant ACC. damn!

who is nonna pulling for? that's who i would pick to win: nonna has the soul of the people.

Julius Hodge, of course, was shot in a drive-by on the freeway in Denver last year. Let's hope that's not an omen. That is interesting about nonna, because Chris Rock argues the same thing - that it was Hillary's fault. He suggests in his D.C. Bigger and Blacker show that Hillary should have known that Bill was a crazy-gotta-have-a-blow-job kind of guy and she shouldn't have let anyone else beat her to it.

As for Richardson, maybe it is just East Coast Bias.

biden's recent comments move him down the ladder a little. and it's not the first time: no way can he hold his tongue for an entire presidential race.

the infamous east coast bias. well it's still early in the season and surely the brackets can change. poor biden. how much longer do we think he'll stick around? and do we honestly believe somebody from deleware could pull off the nomination?

O - I appreciate your thought-provoking comments. Or we comrades of some sort that I cannot recall?

Are we, rather.
