Bordello of Boredom

Hillary Rodham Clinton released a video, too. This one a spoof of the Soprano's ending. Although I have never seen a single episode of Tony & Co., the finale got so much media attention that I knew exactly what to expect. The video was a preface to the release of the official campaign song. The spot is amusing, but ultimately a letdown when you realize that the song is...You and I by Celine Dion. Wow. Never ceases to disappoint. I am with Bill, it should have been Smashmouth.

Props to Hillary for shooting this video in arguably the very best (and only) diner in the greater Chappaqua area. For anything omelet and/or corned beef related, there really is no better place than the Mt. Kisco Coach Diner.

While I question her flavor-of-the-month causes (re: flag burning) and centrist pandering, I can no longer question her or Bill's taste when it comes to good eats.

Yet, though they say the quickest way to a man's heart is through his stomach, I'm finding myself less and less willing to put up with her insincerity and poor decision making. Celine Dion??? Come on. The political stump is no place for French Canadians. I understand taking a softer more feminine approach to contrast with the however many John Mellencamp songs that'll bookend her opponents' speeches. But if she's insistent on outsourcing her campaign song, I say she should employ a Canadian pop star who's embraced the real meat 'n' potatoes America. Thus, my pick for the Hillary campaign song would be "The Woman in Me (Needs the Man in You)" by Shania Twain. It's clear that the added perk of Bill is enough to bring a number of people over to the dark side, so I say embrace it, and show a little vulnerability while you're at it. Plus Shania's way hot.

In the meantime, I'm gonna keep riding on the Edwards bandwagon, as I've really taken to his populist message and I often find myself getting lost in his eyes.

Also fitting by Shania is "That Don't Impress Me Much"
Okay, so you can raise 26 million? That don't impress me much.
You've got the corporate whores but do you got the touch?
Don't get me wrong a lot of your policies are worth voting for,
But your pandering won't keep me warm in the middle of a war
That don't impress me much

oh man. i was so behind on my 3q readings. i appreciate the posthumous shout out to my former online diary and i actually just posted my inaugural blogger post. also, somehow romney came up today and it appears my cousin went to school with one of his sons at belmont hill and that mitt is actually a rather eloquent and decent fellow up close and personal and when giving speeches at the hill apparently…

Glad to hear you picked up on the shout out. I was waiting patiently for an acknowledgment. And as for Rommney, yeah, I can't hide my candidatory man-crush on him.
